Five mountain day
So, it rains in Portland. It rains in Portland a lot. Last November, Portland hit a record with 32 inches of rain. In one month. Give or take. Usually, the forecast sounds a bit like this:
Weatherman: Due to the marine layer and a dense fog advisory, visibility for your commute this morning will be about a quarter of a mile.
Yuck.
Today however, today was an exception. Today's forecast went a bit like this:
Weatherman: Sun, sun and more sun today. Looks to be a five mountain day.
A five mountain day! Yep, that's weatherman speak for "Get yourself outside today because you'll be able to see mountains you haven't seen since October! You'll see mountains you forgot we had! Oh the joy!"
Yes, today was a great day. Sunny and clear. I could only see Mt. St. Helens, Adams, and Hood from my office today, but Rainier and Jefferson were out there too.
Hello Spring!
