The last event on the Hoybook Summer of Fun calendar was a kayak trip down the Missouri River. The ten inches of rain we've received in the past week botched that plan. To make up for it, we headed to the beach at Lake Manawa and soaked up our last summer weekend.

Time with the Olsons

Well, Oregon has officially up and lost all of its Olsons. Craig and Bridget left two weeks ago and are currently setting up camp near Rockford, Illinois where Craig got a new job at a nuclear power plant. We got to spend the weekend with them in Wayne and had such a good time. Poor Oregon, those Olsons are pretty awesome.

More celebration for our very special girl. We had cake one more time on the night of her birthday with some very special guests: Granny, Linda, Oma and Papa. This little girl sure is loved.

Three years

Our little monkey is 3! What a big girl we suddenly have on our hands. She has grown so much in the past year, sometimes I can hardly believe it. She is sassy, curious, hilarious, so smart and a blast to be with. We can't imagine our lives without her.

We celebrated with a taco party, complete with all the fiesta essentials: piñata, chips and dip and of-course, an ice cream cake.
