It seems our girl has learned the traditional form of crawling will get you to your moose faster.

Zero Fitness

Ok, it's time to get down to business. The "getting back in shape" business.  I've been putting it off for way too long and have way too many excuses:  I'm busy. I'm tired. Kate needs me. My schedule won't allow for training time. I'm still breastfeeding.  Blah, blah, blah.

So, what did I do?  I signed up to run this:  Forest Park Half Marathon.  That's right, 13.1 miles of gorgeous trail in Forest Park, the largest urban park in the U.S.

If you need me in the next four months, check the trail nearest you.  I'll be on it.

I've tried drowning them in pears, yogurt, peaches and oatmeal.  She cannot and will not be tricked.  She can still taste the peas.

Kate meets Manny

Kate has a new cousin dog, Manny, a mini Australian Shepherd.  Manny lives in Corvallis with Aunt Bridget and Uncle Craig and the two finally got to meet last weekend.

It was love at first sight.  I have a feeling they will be best buddies.

Little K has been working hard to perfect her army crawl and is getting more coordinated bit by bit.  Apparently, she just needed the proper incentive:  tennis balls and sparkly Easter cards.
